Easy Roast Duck Recipe
Ingredients
2 teaspoons salt
1 (5 pound approx) whole duck
1/2 cup melted butter
2 teaspoons paprika (smoked paprika can also be used)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon medium chilli powder
How to make our Easy Roast Duck
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Rub salt, pepper,chilli powder and paprika into the skin of the duck.
Place in a roasting pan.
Roast duck in preheated oven for 1 hour.
Spoon 1/4 cup melted butter over duck, and cook for a further 45 more minutes.
Spoon or ladle the remaining 1/4 cup melted butter over duck, and cook for a final 15 minutes, or until crisp and golden brown.

I first came across this recipe after visiting some friends in Kent, this was on the menu minus the chilli powder and paprika which I added for extra flavour and believe it enhances the easy roast duck recipe greatly. The room was filled with this amazing aroma from the roasting duck which remains with me until this day.
