Easy Boiled Fruit Loaf Cake
Fruit loaves are generally quick and easy to make and served with a cup of tea mid afternoon. This easy fruit loaf takes ten minutes to prepare and 1 hr in the oven and turns out beautiful every time. It can be enjoyed any time of the day.
I have used many fruit loaf recipes over the year this but is the easiest and most delicious by far.
I was at first, a little sceptical about the boiling method of making a fruit loaf, as you may also be. Try this recipe using this method and you will never look back.

Making Boiled Fruit Loaf
Preheat your oven to 160 degrees C.
Put fruit, milk, margarine and caster sugar in a medium size pan, bring to boil stirring constantly. When mixture has reached boiling point, turn off the heat and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
Fold in the flour and mix ingredients well. Add egg to pan and mix again.
Pour mixture into a greased 2lb loaf tin and cook in a pre-heated oven at 160 degrees for 1hr. (we used a non stick silicon loaf tin that requires no greasing)
